“ Love this place! Got the spicy chicken nuggets and was good and hit the spot. Also got the egg tartes and really liked! ”
“ What a Yelp find! After a less than amazing dinner date my hubby and I were looking for dessert and coffee + tea and found Sweet Hut. The concept is wonderful - grab a tray & tongs and indulge! They offer sweet and savory pastries and have a plentiful menu with coffee, tea (decaf & caffeinated) as well as boba. They also have small bites like chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries and the like. We were on a mission for sweets so we grabbed + Cinnamon Swirl Roll - the dough was so moist and sweet! We warmed it up and it was tasty. However, the cinnamon was lacking and there was no drizzle on ours. We ended up dipping it in the nutella that oozed out of my next pastry... + Chocolate Nutella Bun - amazing heated up! Wow! I had nutella dripping down my hand. The bun was a sweet dough and so soft it complimented the nutella wonderfully. I HIGHLY recommend this one! + Portuguese Egg Tart - my hubby wanted to try this and found it tasty. + Coconut Tart - my hubby likened this to a macaroon, maybe not as sweet, but good still. + Brown Sugar Ginger Root Tea with milk - my hubby loved this and it smelled delicious! We will definitely be back and next time we are bringing the kids! I may also wander in here to just grab a treat and a coffee some days too! ”
“ Love the cake and late night hours! Service is friendly and fast. The cakes are beautifully decorated and packaged so nicely. We ordered a strawberry short cake and the cake layer and cream were very fresh. They were packaged neatly and even included candles, cake slicer, and a small chocolate that said happy birthday we placed on the cake. ”
“ Ambiance: fast casual/counter order. Plenty of seating Specialities: Asian baked goodies, and drinks (coffee/teas/bubble teas)- lots of options Service: SO friendly Recommendation: I absolutely loved the pineapple bun ("bolo bao") here. I was craving some and could not find it anywhere in the DFW area, but here! This place hit the spot ”
“ This is a bakery PLUS. They have quick bites to enjoy with your boba drinks & dessert. It has HUGE selection of sweet treats, and decent selection of savory treats. The interior has modern design. The staff is friendly. It's a nice place to hang out with friends, but you would need earbuds to block the noise if you plan to study or do some work. We had the creme brulee & taro boba. I would suggest 50% sweetness level if you don't care for super sweet foods or drinks. I had 75% & thought it was still a bit too sweet. ”
“ Tried it for the first time and I'm a fan! I liked their selections and everything we tried so far's been yummy. I went on a Saturday night and it was PACKED! I don't know if there were any seatings left but we weren't planning to stay anyways so that was okay. Definitely will return! ”
“ My favorite is the Hong Kong Milk Tea. This is a very popular study space/work cafe because it is opened until midnight. Never had any issue with the wifi, service, or the food. This is a very solid work/study location if you want a great boba tea and typical Asian pastries on the side. ”
“ To walk in stilettos takes guts So I hold Barbi's hand while she struts Her figure is art But so is this tart With custard, @Plano's Sweet Hut! We came here looking for a treat And Barbi to show off her feet And her shiny high shoes But you'll never lose When you come to the Hut that is Sweet! If it were full of Swedish people, it'd obviously be Swede Hut. And if it had a dirty floor, it'd be Sweep Hut. Whereas if it had no working AC, it'd be Sweat Hut. Thankfully it's not. What to get: Custard Tart! Yummm. The wife cakes. Free water. Free microwave. What not to get: Taro Smoothie - very popular but overrated. The best thing about Sweet Hut is the hours and the fact you can come in here at any given time and just hang out, do work, use WiFi, tons of people, lots of flirting, young people, older people, whatever you want. It's mostly kids from the nearby UTD, but it's eclectic. Barbi always says, she wishes every city had Sweet Hut, where you could come, hang out, get pastries, get drinks, any time, all the time. The downside is, everyone knows about it now, and it's even busier than the ones in Atlanta. No matter what time of day or night, you'll find it hard to get a table or chair or outlet, and some of the kids are very selfish (5 chairs, 1 big table, 4 outlets, 1 person, bags in all the seats, type thing). But no matter. Let's rap. Welcome to my studio, I call it the BEAT HUT One of my balls is posh, the other is a STREET NUT ATL is too warm, I'm stuck in a HEAT RUT And I can't play golf cuz I have such a WEAK PUTT So I go way up to Plano, trying to MEET THOTS Put my window down and blast the RHCP's ROBOTS Drop my tea and all my pastries, I'm such a TREAT KLUTZ Better go back to get replacements from SWEET HUT This chain is from ATL, and has 4 (I think, maybe more by now) very popular, wildly busy locations in the North Burbs there, as well as one right in the heart of Midtown too. I love the ones in ATL, especially for people watching, but lately, with Atlanta dying down a bit and Dallas coming up, this has become my fave location. It's packed with cute people and great for people watching. Or if you're a schoolteacher who brings his or her class here (mistake?), Pupil Watching. I was excited to try the first-ever SH outside of Georgia. I've been to every single one in Georgia, and have reviewed them too, and even taken my cats there (Harley and Mochi, check the pix out). They are amazing places to hang out on a Saturday night, and after a tricky start, that has become the case here. As Atlanta has scaled back hours and become less of a late night destination, this location has slowly morphed into what Atlanta used to be, and it has become our go to destination in DFW for hanging out at night. Now I need to get in bed, or as I call it, my Sheet Hut. And I need to get some Sleep Hut. While listening to No Doubt, Don't Sweet (Hut). And if you don't like this review, I don't give a Sheet Hut. Also, my fave pastry here these days, along with the custard tart, is the lovely flaky wife cake, which isn't called that here, but you'll see it in some of the pictures, so you'll know which one to get. Now I need to go and find my AC remote because it's getting a little Hut in here. Or I could take off all my clothes. ”
